The Multiverse

Scott McLemore's Ever-Evolving
Jazz Collective

Based in Iceland, the American drummer leads a shape-shifting, multinational quartet with a rotating cast of musicians

At the Reykjavik Jazz Festival in Iceland with (L-R) Pierre Perchaud, Nicolas Moreax, Scott McLemore and Hilmar Jensson.

The Concept

Scott McLemore's Multiverse is not just a band— led by the acclaimed drummer and composer, each iteration of The Multiverse represents a unique constellation of world-class musicians, captured in the moment of their creative convergence.

From the John Abercrombie inspired explorations of the original 2018 release to the intimate European tour documentation of "Knowing" (2022), each album serves as a sonic snapshot of different musical universes. The latest album "Onward" (due out on August 14, 2025) was recorded in Iceland and embraces the idea of getting unstuck.

With rotating musicians from Reykjavík, Paris, Oslo and Prague, The Multiverse showcases McLemore's compositional vision while celebrating the unique contributions of each collaborator, creating a body of work that is both cohesive and wonderfully unpredictable.
